When Willows Reach

Written By John P. (Rick) Boyle

Within willows reach, her tears ripped apart mid unpleasant streams
Open and apart, her eyelids drooped, sealing their brooks of fate
As their rising tides, sailed upon still waters, of shattered dreams
Her lips, such as cupules filled with aments ~ In a flickering state
She stood alone on a dark island, an island of “Drifting Heart”
Feeling betrayed, she reaches out, while the seas upon her, breach apart
The willow, “to this day”, has never altered his reach, to touch her sweet
Beneath the waters, upon he weeps, to which she gave ~ “Her Utter Defeat”
